@Miss_Marvel16

@Miss_Marvel16 is a representation of Kamala Khan’s life, her interests, her concerns, and her expression.  Kamala expresses interests in the super hero’s Ironman, Captain America, and Captain Marvel.  The following twitter accounts associated with the current Hollywood portrayals of these characters have been followed.  Additionally @Miss_Marvel16 shared a post by Captain Marvel that contains information regarding a new video game that is coming out.  I chose this post to share because of Kamala’s interest in video games with which she shares with Bruno Carrelli.  Another interest these two friends share is in a series called “Tween Mutant Samuri Turtles.”  For this @Miss_Marvel16 follows Teenage Mutant Turtles.  Kamala shares a BBC Breaking News articles about chemicals being dropped on citizens, much like her conception as Ms. Marvel.  In addition to BBC she follows Crimewatch to be in connection with crime so she can bring the perpetrators to a halt.  She also follows Pakistani news and a recipe twitter handle because of her ancestral connection.  She uses these handles as a vice to remain connected to her roots.  Lastly she follows Emma Watson and Wonder woman because these handles serve as inspiration and guidance for her.  Emma Watson just because I like Emma Watson.  Wonder Woman’s handle because she is another strong female superhero like herself.   I chose to make @Miss_Marvel16 an embodiment of both her secret life as Ms. Marvel and of her “normal” life as Kamala Khan because ultimately her true identity derives from both.  I chose to use @Miss_Marvel16 because it is this second identity that brings about the formation of her new identity.  Lastly I chose a picture of a quote “Who says the skys the limit? Its not?” because being a Muslim, women, and immigrant can put a person under particular scrutiny or more accurately subject them to prejudice which brings a person down and so the quote is to inspire a redefinition of limit.
