"Ms. Marvel" Category B, Prompt C

Da Hae Han
Twitter Account: @Kamala_Khan_
I have established the character, Kamala Khan’s Twitter account to appear quite simplistic. Compared to various other superheroes that the reader may not necessarily be able to relate to, I feel as if the author made the protagonist within her story quite relatable regardless of the powers she obtain. She, as many other adolescents do, idolizes an unreal superhero, in particular Captain Marvel as she states, “I want to be beautiful and awesome and butt-kicking and less complicated. I want to be you.” This is partially representative of the insecurities a person may have in this part of their life where they do not necessarily come to terms of accepting oneself and they begin on the path to do so. This is especially as a result of her indulgence in social media and pop culture platforms, once more something that appear very common in even real life scenarios, which I have added as an interest of hers.

  1. I'm interested in seeing the actual twitter, but your concept for Kamala's twitter is a great idea!

  2. Hi Lydia,

I agree that this Ms. Marvel captures the essence of adolescence more than many others, which makes her relatable to the reader. I see that your Twitter account follows super heroes, which makes sense. Why does she follow super models? Also, I'd like to see some more indicators of her personality, in her bio, her header image, or in tweets, so I can get a sense of how you are portraying her in this feed.
